TempMon is an orchestration layer for distributed ambient-control devices used in restaurants, retail, offices and cold-chain environments. The platform centralizes live telemetry, command execution and rule-based automation so operators can inspect device state, issue on-demand overrides, and define coordinated policies across device groups. It uses a hybrid control-plane approach where scheduled rules, threshold triggers and manual interventions coexist while the system maintains state reconciliation across intermittent networks.
Delivered improvements included granular RBAC, stricter device auth and an improved sync pipeline to avoid race conditions during reconciliation. Next steps we scoped include edge-level anomaly detection to flag thermal drift, n8n workflows to route alerts into business ticketing and SLA flows, and OTA firmware pipelines for faster device maintenance. Together these make TempMon a governance-capable IoT system that scales from a single site to enterprise fleets.
